There is a lot of writing that goes into a book that never makes it to print. Among the many tools I use to help me find inspiration are the creation of character biographies, scene summaries, and stand-alone scenes not intended for the novel itself. In addition, I’ve written dozens of scenes that were either completely cut, or drastically altered from their original vision.
In this section of my website, I will be posting some of these snippets to allow readers a “behind the scenes” at the early stages, and subsequent evolution, of various characters, plotlines, and themes that go into my novels.
Along the way, I will also post commentary with thoughts and insights about how various elements developed and changed, or else found themselves on the book cutting room floor. So stay tuned. Check back early and often. Besides my blog posts, I plan to populate this section quite a bit with fun and exciting content.
